refreshing life and living refreshed |
In the beginning of 2009, sitting safely and financially secure in my Minneapolis apartment I made a pact with myself. Get out of this city. Get out and explore something - something somewhere, something anywhere, and do it soon. Soon became Sept 30th, a one-way ticket bound for SFO. Join me as I establish a new life, the next chapter of my San Franciscan life. No job, no apartment, no established network. It’s time to start fresh, new; it’s time to be refreshed with life. |
Staying Fit: Crunch Fitness
A watering hole for young adults, known for its innovative setup and high-end equipment. A place that ensures working out doesn’t have to boring by putting TVs on almost every machine, free computers with wifi on other machines, blaring music throughout the gym, and ample magazine subscriptions. It’s very clean and the friendly staff is very welcoming, as is the delicious snack bar located near the entrance. This gym even gets my gym-hating, self-proclaimed lazy ass roommate off her, lack of better words, lazy ass, to the gym. All classes are included with membership; personal trainers are an extra fee. However, there are a few specials for newcomers that are worth checking out.
Caution: With the tight economy, there have been a few Crunches closing, pushing Crunch membership to increase the number of newbies. If you give your email and/or phone number to this studio, they WILL call and email at least a few times. The more you neglect signing up, the more stalkerish they appear. Check out their website for the best deals.
